How is the EU Funded?
An everlasting question for Europe is how to fund the worlds biggest supra - national Union should be funded. Historically the cost was mitigated evenly throughout member countries based off of their Gross National Income (GNI).
A direct EU tax had been introduced in 2036 to tax individuals in the EU who earn over €100,000 per annum. This new direct tax has helped to fund many more of the European Union's projects, to help develop and create a better, more equal and more inclusive Union. This new income has helped to fund the building of new trainlines, and the running of numerous projects and initiatives.
It is also funded through other means, such as:
VAT
Contributions
Tariffs
Fines
GNI
