The Oil Crisis:
What Finance Commissioner Juan Ferard is calling "the largest and most preventable scourge of todays economy". Renewable energy too over fossil fuels in cost effectiveness nearly a quarter of a century ago, yet many countries refused to act, thus creating an ineffective method of running a country and also having a detrimental effect on the Environment, today the EU is glad to say that thanks to huge strides in Nuclear energy, solar panels and hydroelectricity all research funded under the second climate act of 2029 and the 2043 amendments, that we will be climate neutral by 2052.
However, the oil crisis still affects us till then, countries such as Bulgaria and Spain still rely on oil which has risen to an astronomical €253 per barrel.
In todays society a reliance on Oil is completely un - sustainable with erratic supply Oil reserves are set to be completely dried up by 2053 due to excessive strain and demand. An International Crisis
As seen on the diagram to the right the amount of barrels (shown in billions) have fallen almost to 'rock bottom' immediate action has been taken by the EU but the crisis has left the worlds global economies reeling.
Namely the south Americas and mid lying African nations.
With the worlds oil reserves neering complete net zero exports from all countries have ceased.
EU Aid
In the 2049 budget we put forward 1 Billion Euro to help build sustainable infrastructure and clean energy to those countries with greatest need such as Venezuela, the DRC, Nigeria, and Bolivia were we have built 132 solar farms, 2 SMR's as well as other initiatives.
